  • A snag occurs
    like a fishhook
    breathed in and
    stuck.

    This morning my hair
    is camouflage.
    Nameless birds of colors
    bright beyond names
    swift beyond bodies
    pick at me-

    Silence simple
    as a finger
    upon a string
    to still all vibration:
    a man's touch.

    My arms pump
    high to keep
    from drowning.
    Love in me
    uses me
    running its way
    to earth,
    to mineral,
    earth's bone.
    Vibrations flutter
    to silence.

    Love never flows
    to any form.
